Please join the Mayor, Town Council, and Town employees in wishing Robby McAdams congratulations and best wishes on his retirement effective May 1, 2023. Even though you will be missed we hope you enjoy your retirement.

At Monday night's Council Meeting, Mayor Allred presented Clerk Linda Ferguson with a Proclamation showing appreciation for all she does in her position. He stated it has been said my other Mayors that if the Town Clerk walked out the Mayor would walk out behind her. He thanked Clerk Ferguson for all of her hard work and dedication to her job and efforts to make things better in Millport. Clerk Ferguson thanked the Mayor and Council for their support stating she would not be able to do all that she does without their support.

Waste Management has changed to a different type of truck for garbage pick up. This truck has a mechanical arm that grips the can and raises it over the truck and dumps in the top of the truck. With this change, you need to have your garbage can(s) on the side of the road with space on all sides. If you have 2 cans, do not place them touching each other. That arm will need space on both sides to grab the cans. Also, no extra bags or boxes will be collected, only what is in the cans. Please be aware of these changes and have your garbage out either Tuesday evening or very early Wednesday morning.
